Frequently Asked Questions

I bought a messenger bag from you, but the decorative patch is fraying. Is it falling apart?
Absolutely not! We intentionally do not set the edges of the patch as a matter of aesthetic. We think it goes rather well with the safety pins. If you would rather this didn't happen, there are anti-fray products available on the market that you can apply on your own.

How large is your yukata?
Yukata are generally free-sized. We have successfully fit people as tall as six feet and as small as three [and geez, wasn't she cute! She was nine years old so I can say that. ^_^] The question of girth is a bit trickier. Our yukata fit up to a female US size 20 comfortably, though I have fit women up to a US size 22.

How do I tie my obi?
Instructions for tying an obi are provided with the purchase of a yukata or kimono.

How do I clean my new bag?
While all of our bags are different, we recommend that you spot clean only and never put it in the washer. To spot clean, put a mild soap on a wet cloth and gently rub the dirty area until clean.

Can I dry my shirt?
Throwing your new shirt in the dryer may not destroy it, but it'll last a lot longer if you air dry it after washing.

Are your shirts pre-shrunk?
Yes.

How LARGE is a large?
We carry unisex true size shirts. To get an idea of specific measurements, please visit this link.

How did you make that?
Magic! While we respect that many of you are genuinely curious as to how we make things, we can't give away all of our secrets! ^_^

I have sensitive ears. What are your earring backs made from?
Our earrings are [unless otherwise noted] surgical steel. We are able to special order white gold or plastic for those super-sensitive individuals. Please contact us if that's something you are interested in.

Where do you get your stuff?
Everywhere! Some of it we import from Japan, some of it we purchase and alter with our own designs. But all of it is touched, in some way, by us.

Do you have a store?
This is a tricky question! Every time we attend a convention, we set up our store. In it you'll find all the latest and greatest wonders that we've been designing. Other items are found in our web-store. As far as a physical location in a city with set hours, no, we do not have one.

Where are you located?
Our studio is located in beautiful Portland, Maine.

Are you going to a con near me?
Maybe! For a list of conventions that we'll be attending, take a look at the list!

What other events do you attend?
As of this moment, we only do anime & gaming conventions nationwide. On a local level, you can almost always find us supporting Portland's economy with smaller, arts, crafts, and GLBT related shows.

I saw this neat thing at a show! Why can't I find it on your website?
There are several good reasons why the item may not be on the site. For one, it's almost impossible for us to keep up with our changing inventory. Much of what we make is done so in a limited quantity; at any given show, we sell out of several items that we may never make again. Another reason may simply be that we only have four hands between us. When it comes down to time management between shows, we'll often forsake the website in order to create new, nifty products. There is always a chance that we still have what you're looking for and encourage you to contact us with your questions.

Can I get it in green?
Possibly! We're always happy to take special orders for specific items if we have the resources available.

Do you ship overseas?
Yes! Happily! The only difference in how an overseas order is processed lies in the shipping. If Paypal does not automatically charge you shipping upon checkout, we will send a second invoice to you via email with the shipping cost for your items. You can always get a quote from us before hand by contacting us .

How do you ship stuff?
We ship all of our items via the United States Postal Service. For more on international and domestic shipping, check out our information page.
