Compared to most places, Barkshire Territory is a safe, quiet place to live. Domestics and exotics live and work harmoniously; it is these incredibly normal qualities that entice Colin Raido's family to make the move from his mother's native country of Yippon. Unfortunately, the little red fox is anything but normal and no amount of settling into a mundane routine is going to erase the fifteen years that he has spent learning the mystic ways of the otherworld. Strange things seem to follow Colin and it's not long before he's up to both tails in the bizarre and unexplainable. Plagued by sporadic, impulsive intuition, Colin tries to adapt to an uneventful life. It's a tentative arrangement that is broken one winter evening when the fox gets one of his overwhelming feelings. Following his sixth sense he makes the trek to his friend Kal's house and finds the tree kangaroo's boyfriend injured and unconscious. Sensing the presence of the otherworld, he calls on his older, more experienced cousins to help solve the mystery of D.L.'s attack. And to stop the supernatural threat that may be loose in South Barkshire.
